FAQ

How does Acupuncture work?

Acupuncture is the practice of inserting very fine needles into specific points on the body to influence the body’s own natural healing system. As Acupuncturists, we work with the body, to help it bring nourishment and healing properties to the affected area.

How do your treatments differ from other Acupuncturists?

Using a system that has helped thousands of people for over a century, here at TCM Health Clinic we work on not only treating your symptoms, but also getting to the root of the problem. Using this system, we work with formulas of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture to diagnose and help your condition from the source. The formulas, which have been passed down in generations, give us the tools we need to help all our patients.

How many sessions will I need?

Ideally, an average course of treatment lasts for a minimum of 2 consecutive sessions per week for the initial four weeks, thereafter once a week until completion. However, different people respond at different rates to Chinese Herbs and Acupuncture. Some chronic cases may require longer  to get the full benefit of the treatment.

Why are your prices much lower than many other Acupuncturists?

We believe good health should be available to everyone, therefore our prices reflect this.

Who has Acupuncture?

Many people seek out acupuncture for various reasons. Some for specific symptoms or conditions, and some because they feel stressed or suffer from anxiety. Acupuncture can be used on people of any age, from newborn babies and young children to the elderly.
